Nikau's mum Gemma has decided to stay in New Zealand rather than returning to the Bay, while the move would also put Nikau out of harm's way if Tane's enemies turn any nastier. Amber introduced them at the beach this week and they got along well – although she banned Dean from telling Jai who he really was. Nikau has just discovered that Bella's brother is a murderer, while the outcome of their runaway drama – which saw Nikau manipulate Bella into coming out of hiding and returning home – also put their relationship under considerable strain. Deciding to regain the upper hand, Douglas tells Leah that they'll be getting married the following day.

As if he wasn't already on Angelo's radar, Colby has taken a major risk by deliberately befriending the detective's wife Taylor.
Mac encourages Felicity not to worry, as she has plenty of time to get used to the idea of marriage. Tane surprises Felicity by arranging a romantic champagne picnic close to the lighthouse. As the couple admire the view, they're suddenly joined by Nikau, Cash and Lyrik. As Lyrik begin performing an original acoustic love song, it dawns on Felicity that Tane is about to pop the question.
With Willow no longer living in Summer Bay, Amber turned to Dean's sister Mac for a heart-to-heart instead. Mac, who had her own heartbreaking experience with Ari to draw on, questioned Amber on whether she was willing to settle for being Dean's second best. Amber was left to consider the worrying possibility that Dean is still in love with Ziggy.
